Title
'To Win the Fight Against World Starvation' Reader's Digest article
Subject
Food relief, American -- India.
United States. Congress. House. Committee on Agriculture.
India.
Description
This article raises many questions and contentions with the United States' foreign aid and Food for Peace programs. It argues that these programs are not producing the intended results and require major revision to bring about change in the countries that abuse and rely too heavily on American agriculture and financial aid. The author believes that the Food for Peace program can work, but Congress needs to enforce the program's intentions and hold countries to their promises to develop their own agricultural programs.
